14 Oct 2011 JB Trip

Took 170 to JB Sultan Iskandar Checkpoint and cleared customs before boarding the yellow bus to Larkin Terminal.Took a cab that cost a flat rate of RM15 to Plaza Angsana at Tampoi.Our first trip here starts at Marybrown restaurant for a quick lunch then explore the huge mall.At Romantika bought a tea-cups set for RM35 and wall painting for RM19.Worth the trip as I can't find these items here.There is a K-Box Family Karoake.RM1 for one song.I purchased 2 songs...the music is so blarring and my voice is too soft to be heard.Very interesting... there are many shops that we did not managed to explore as time past swiftly and we boarded a taxi back to Larkin Terminal costing RM10.10.This time we are given coupon to board the taxi...never expected that return trip is cheaper than the arrival.At Larkin,bought the fresh kuih bauhulu before heading back to Singapore by public bus.With all the shopping items we still able to carry safely in spite of the crowd.Mission accomplished!

Garden @ LKC

Took these shots at the roof-top garden at NLB.The pandan leaves grows well...love the scent of it.Banana plant is growing too...I wonder what kind of soil they use...do I need a pair of magic green fingers for plants to grow.Just save the trouble and admire the plants will do!

Parent's Birthday

Celebrating my father's 67th birthday at home and treat his favourite fried seafood noodle at BANQUET on the next day.'Happy Birthday Bapak'.
On the next following month I celebrated my mum's birthday at Swensens.Happy Birthday to my dearest mum.Congrats! you are 60 years old now.

My cookies and cakes order for the festive month is $150.I can't cope with a few orders as I'm working now but still feels great to bake as it's part of my hobby.

Work Safety Before And After

Accident 2011

Injured my left foot while at work.I was pushing a trolley full of books down a slope when it got stucked on a hole then collapsed and hit my foot badly.That night after work,I was limping so painfully and I'm worried of not being able to walk on the next day.Thank goodness,I still managed to work and took two days of unpaid leave.Had a foot x-ray in a polyclinic and medication is given for my swelling foot.What a bad day for me!

Check-out

We checked out from Equatorial Hotel at 12.00.Bus departure is at 16.00 so I have to place our belongings at the conceirge counter.Great we can explore Malacca again before going back home ! My plan is to take the river cruise ride was cancelled as the conter is closed due to Friday prayers.Will open at 14.00 hours but we can't make it as I worry that we will miss our departure coach.The duration ride for the river cruise is 1 hour.We bought some tidbits and took pictures of the historic city before heading to Dataran Palawan Mall. Then back to the hotel lobby.Goodbye Malacca,will visit again next time!

2nd day in Malacca

Had a refreshing night stay,woke up feeling fresh and the weather is moist due to the morning down pour,had breakfast in the hotel coffee house.Although, it's a buffet meal but I'm not able to sample all the food there...wasted!....had my fill on a bowl of lontong gravy and a few dishes only.

Nur Kasih The Movie

After exploring the Dataran Pahlawan Mall, I bought the cinema tickets for the midnight movie.Nothing much to do as mum is getting exhausted with her aching legs so I did not explore Melaka city at night....The movie ended about 1am and the ending is beautiful....went back to the hotel and time to recharge and goodnight!

Dinner Time!

Had western food for our meal.There is no 'US PIZZA' restaurant in Singapore so I want to taste how's the food like...hmm...nothing so special...just an ordinary instant western meal.

Trishaw Ride

After a tiring afternoon, we decided to go back to the hotel and have a rest before going out for dinner in Dataran Pahlawan mall.Took a trishaw ride around the Melaka city.Trishaw rider is very friendly and showed us around in his historic city.He take care of our belongings while we browse items in the Maritime shops.
